84 Bn CRPF honoured the 18th Martyrdom of Shaheed Constable Mushtaq Ahmed at Parnote Maitra Ramban !

CHHATTISGARH, Feb 2: On 02 Feb 2008, in the Maoist affected state of Chhattisgarh, when a column of 63 Bn CRPF personnel, while falling back after a major operation in the hinterlands of Narayanpur District of Chhattisgarh, were ambushed by a strong party of armed Maoists. The CRPF party of 63 Bn retaliated effectively and tactically and an intense encounter ensued. The CRPF team tactically split into two parties and attacked the Maoists' position, forcing the Maoists to flee. Few Maoists were killed and few others sustained injuries.
In the operation, Constable Driver Mustaq Ahmed of 63 Bn, resident of Maitra, Ramban, J&K, fought valiantly and made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. Constable Driver Mustaq Ahmed is survived by his wife Veer Nari Smt Rubina Begum and two sons.
A function, to honor the 18th martyrdom of Shaheed Constable Driver Mustaq Ahmed, was organized by 84 Bn CRPF at Oakfield International School Parnote Maitra Ramban, on 02 Feb 26. The function was attended by Sh N Ranbir Singh Commandant, Sh Vikram Singh Second in Command, Sh R R Meena Asstt Cdt, Sh Vikash Kumar Asstt Cdt, more than 100 personnel of 84 Bn CRPF, family members, prominent local residents and students. Floral tributes were paid to the martyred and remembered his supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation. The courage, dedication and selfless service of Shaheed Constable Driver Mustaq Ahmed were recalled with deep respect and pride.
Sh N Ranbir Singh Commandant 84 Bn expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and reaffirmed the force's commitment to stand with the families of the martyrs at all times. He also stated that the nation will always remain indebted to the supreme sacrifice made by the brave heart in the line of duty. The family members and Ex Sarpanch Abdul Gani, local residents thanked 84 Bn CRPF for organizing the ceremony and honoring the sacrifice of Shaheed Constable Driver Mustaq Ahmed.
The ceremony concluded with a moment of silence and prayers for eternal peace of the departed soul. A shawl and memento were presented to the Veer Nari by Commandant 84 Bn CRPF.
