| ADDC Rajouri reviews progress of Catch the Rain initiative | | |  Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Feb 2: Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Malikzada Sheraz Ul Haq today chaired a meeting to review the progress of the Catch the Rain initiative in the district. The meeting focused on assessing the implementation strategy and accelerating efforts towards water conservation and rainwater harvesting.
A Senior Scientist from the Government of India briefed the officers about the strategy for the successful implementation of the mission in the district. The meeting was also apprised of the progress achieved so far and directions were issued for timely uploading of the progress details on the designated portal.
The ADDC underscored the urgency of intensifying efforts towards water conservation and rainwater harvesting across the district.
He stressed the need for a proactive approach in implementing the initiative, emphasizing meticulous planning.
To ensure effective implementation of the initiative, the ADDC directed all stakeholder departments to work in close coordination and collaboration, channeling focused efforts towards conservation and safeguarding of water resources.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development Auqil Nuvaid besides DFO Rajouri, DFO Nowshera, Block Development Officers and other concerned officers. |
