Central University of Jammu hosts National Financial Literacy Quiz College Round 2026

JAMMU, Feb 4: The College Round of the prestigious National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFLQ)-2026 was conducted with great enthusiasm at Central University of Jammu (CUJ). The event saw active participation from a diverse cohort of students enrolled in Vocational Degree Programmes, as well as Management, Economics, and Engineering streams. The NFLQ was organized under the esteemed patronage of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of jammu Prof. Sanjeev Jain.
The event was formally inaugurated by Prof. A.K. Nanda, Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Jaya Bhasin, Head, Department of HRM & OB, and Prof. Rakesh Jha, Head, Department of Electronics and Communication in presence of faculty members of Department of Economics.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Jaya Bhasin, Head, Department of HRM & OB, School of Business Studies CUJ apprised the gathering about The National Financial Literacy Quiz initiative being organized by National Institute of Securities Market (NISM).
Prof. Rakesh Jha addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of participating in the national level competitions. He informed that we are proud to have facilitated this event with the active support of our esteemed faculty members. Earlier Prof. A K Nanda welcomed the gathering and informed that the quiz provided a dynamic platform for students to test and enhance their understanding of crucial financial concepts, including budgeting, investing, savings, and economic principles. The competitive yet educational atmosphere aimed to empower the next generation with the knowledge necessary for sound financial decision-making. Engaging students from such diverse disciplines highlights the universal importance of financial literacy.The NFLQ 2026 at CUJ was coordinated by Dr Jaya Bhasin and Dr. Shahid Mushtaq under the supervision of Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar, Central University of Jammu, ensuring smooth and efficient execution. The NFLQ organizing team comprises Prof. Jaya Bhasin, Dr. Shahid Mushtaq and Dr. Asif Ali faculty members from School of Business Studies along with faculty members of Department of Economics, ECE and Community College. The organizing team extended its congratulations to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement and wished the participants the very best for the subsequent rounds of the NFLQ 2026.Dr. Asif Ali proposed a formal vote of thanks. Dr Shahid Mushtaq conducted the proceedings of the programme.
