Jodhamal students win at IIT competition

JAMMU, Feb 11: Jodhamal Public School, Channi Himmat, Jammu, has once again brought laurels to the institution with a remarkable achievement at the prestigious STEAM Innovation Challenge 2026, organized by IIT Jammu under Team Pragyaan.
In a proud moment for the entire JMPS fraternity, Amay Gupta secured the Second Prize in the highly competitive innovation challenge, winning a cash award of Rs 12,000, which has been credited to Jodhamal Public School.
Amay Gupta's innovative project stood out among numerous entries for its originality, practical relevance, and strong conceptual clarity. His performance reflected not only his creativity and scientific temperament but also the school's commitment to fostering research-based learning and innovation among students.
Additionally, a team from the Junior Group also proudly represented the school in the IIT STEM Innovation Challenge. The team comprised Rivan Gupta, Natik Kajoria, Prayang Arora, Krishan Gupta, Abhir Singh Bali, and Gauransh Diwan. Their enthusiastic participation, innovative thinking, and teamwork reflected the strong STEM foundation being nurtured at the junior level.
The STEAM Innovation Challenge 2026 aimed to encourage young minds to apply the principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) to develop innovative solutions for real-world challenges, with strong local relevance to Jammu & Kashmir. The competition focused on four major thematic tracks: Sustainability (Eco-Conscious Innovation), Healthcare (Holistic HealthTech), Smart Living (Urban & Rural Future), and Education (Next-Gen EdTech).
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various schools, with shortlisted teams required to present their ideas through working prototypes, detailed models, and comprehensive presentations during the two-day on-campus event held at IIT Jammu.
The school management extended heartfelt congratulations to Amay Gupta and for his outstanding accomplishment. The school also acknowledged the dedicated mentorship and guidance provided by the teacher mentor Ms. Neetu Johri, whose support played a vital role in shaping the project.
This achievement marks yet another milestone in JMPS's journey of excellence in academics, innovation, and co-curricular pursuits. The entire JMPS community celebrates this success and wishes these young champions continued achievements in their future endeavors.
