Agri Deptt conducts inspection of Fertilizer Rake Operations

JAMMU, Feb 13: Anil Gupta, Director of Agriculture and Controller of Fertilizers for Jammu & Kashmir, is spearheading sustained efforts to ensure authorized pricing and timely supply of fertilizers across the Union Territory. Under his direction, Assistant Director Law Enforcement (ADLE), conducts regular inspections to curb overcharging and ensure strict compliance with the Fertilizer Control Order (FCO), 1985, thereby safeguarding the interests of the farming community.
In continuation of these efforts, today, the Enforcement Wing conducted a detailed inspection of rake operations at the Bari Brahmana railhead in Samba district of Jammu division pertaining to Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited.
The inspection was conducted by Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Assistant Director Law Enforcement (ADLE) Jammu, along with Mr. Surrender Singh, Agriculture Extension Assistant. The proceedings were attended by Mr. Rahul Khatkar, State Head - Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited; Mr. Ravi Raushan, Assistant Manager, Jammu; and Mr. Rajender Gupta, H&T BMMN.
During the inspection, officials verified Urea bag lot numbers to ensure traceability and reviewed SAP-based invoicing systems with real-time IFMS updates, including RO challan and demand draft (DD) entries. The team also examined truck movement records and 100 per cent STP tracking to ensure seamless monitoring of fertilizer dispatch and distribution.
The department expressed satisfaction over the company's transparent and technology-driven operations. Officials observed that the system reflects strict adherence to the provisions of the Fertilizer Control Order (FCO), 1985, and terming the system a strong example of compliance and accountability in fertilizer distribution across the Jammu division.
