| MLA Ramnagar asks Govt to regularise daily wagers, contractual staff | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 13: The government has announced the constitution of a high-level committee to look into matters concerning the regularization of daily wagers, contractual and ad hoc employees serving in various departments. Replying to Un-starred Assembly Question No. 539 tabled by MLA Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj, the government said the committee was set up through Government Order No. 384-JK (GAD) of 2025 dated March 19, 2025, to examine issues related to the regularization of different categories of workers. The official response stated that the panel has been directed to evaluate the issue from humanitarian, legal and financial standpoints and to suggest a comprehensive course of action. Replying to media, Dr Bhardwaj mentioned that government has no intention to regularise these employees who have given their productive life in the departments otherwise government must have allocated some revenue expenditure for them. Unfortunately, no definite timeline has been specified for rolling out any regularization policy. He said that BJP will keep fighting for their cause inside and outside assembly and force the government to regularise these employees at the earliest.
