3 missing ladies reunited with their families by police at Kathua

KATHUA, Feb 13: J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS today reunited three missing ladies within the jurisdictional areas of PP Ramkot (PS Billawar) & PS Basohli.
In the first instance, On dated 11/06/2025 one applicant namely Darshno Devi W/o Dewan Singh R/o Aglidhar Tehsil Ramkot came at P/P Ramkot and lodged a written complaint regarding missing of his daughter namely Sunita Devi R/o Aglidhar Tehsil Ramkot District Kathua. On receiving complaint a missing report was entered at this PP Ramkot Billawar vide DD No.08 dated 11-06-2025. Moreover On dated 20/11/2025 one more applicant namely Mohd. Sharief S/o Qasim Din R/o Harnota Tehsil Ramkot came at P/P Ramkot and lodged a written complaint regarding missing of his Wife namely Sameena Begum R/o Harnota Tehsil Ramkot District Kathua. On receiving complaint a missing report was entered at this PP Ramkot Billawar vide DD No.08 dated 20-11-2025 and police teams of PP Ramkot led by IC PP Ramkot PSI Rahul Prashar under the guidance of SDPO Billawar Sh. Neeraj Padyar JKPS & SHO P/S Billawar Insp. Zaheer Mushtaq searched various places and with the help of technical assistance along with timely human intervention recovered one missing lady from Chore Panjian Tehsil Majalta Udhampur and other missing lady from North East District Delhi Jamunapar . After completing all legal formalities the said missing ladies were handed over to their legal heirs and both the missing reports have been closed.
While in the second instance, one more missing report was registered at PS Basohli vide DDR No.22 dated June 5, 2024, regarding Priyanka Devi , Daughter of Omkar Nath resident of Ward No 9 ,Tehsil Basohli, District Kathua.Acting on the report, Police team led by SHO PS Basohli Insp. Rajeshwar Singh under the guidance of SDPO Basohli Sh. Om Parkash initiated efforts to trace the girl. She was successfully located on 13 February 2026, and the recovery was recorded vide DDR No. 12 Dated February 13, 2026.After completing the necessary legal procedures, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs.
