Early Times Report
NAGROTA, Feb 14: In a heartfelt gesture reflecting compassion and social commitment, Chairperson of Subhadra Foundation and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Convenor J&K UT, Ritika Trehan, extended assistance to a needy family in village Sukater Domal, Nagrota.Upon receiving information about the financial hardships faced by the family of Nisha Devi, who required support for her upcoming marriage, Ritika Trehan personally visited the family to assess their needs and provide timely help, reaffirming the Foundation's commitment to standing by those in distress.
During the visit, Subhadra Foundation provided essential items to support the marriage preparations, including ration supplies, clothes, and other necessary household items required for the wedding ceremony. The assistance was aimed at easing the financial burden on the family and ensuring that the marriage could be solemnized with dignity, respect, and joy.The Foundation reiterated that no daughter's marriage should be delayed or disrupted due to lack of basic resources and that society must collectively work to protect the honour and happiness of every family.
Speaking on the occasion, Ritika Trehan stated that supporting underprivileged families is not an act of favour but a moral duty of every responsible citizen. She emphasized that when one family struggles, it is the responsibility of society as a whole to step forward and extend support.
Ritika further added that empowering daughters and ensuring their dignity is central to nation-building. "When we support a daughter, we strengthen an entire family and contribute to a stronger society. Initiatives like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao are not merely slogans; they are commitments that must be reflected in our actions. Every daughter deserves respect, opportunity, and a life filled with hope and happiness," she said.
Ritika Trehan also appealed to citizens, social organizations, and well-wishers to come forward and adopt a culture of shared responsibility. She urged people to identify genuine cases in their localities and provide assistance in whatever way possible-be it financial aid, essential items, or emotional support. "If each capable family resolves to support at least one needy family, we can transform countless lives. This is the true spirit of social service and the foundation of a developed and inclusive India," she emphasized.
