National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education, Research celebrates Foundation Day

NEW DELHI, Feb 15: The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), S.A.S. Nagar, an Institute of National Importance established under the NIPER Act, 1998 under the aegis of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, is celebrating its Foundation Day on 16th February, 2026 (Monday) at 3:00 PM in the Main Auditorium of the NIPER Convention Centre
Prof. Anil Kumar Tripathi, Director, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and deliver the Foundation Day Address on the topic: "Harnessing the Potential of Medicinal Plants: Opportunities and Challenges"
Dr. Chandrasekhar Nair, Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Molbio Diagnostics and Bigtec Labs, will be the Guest of Honour and will address the gathering.
On this occasion, Prof. Dulal Panda, Director, NIPER Mohali, will present the Annual Report of the Institute highlighting major achievements in academics, research, patents, placements, MoUs, and outreach activities during the year.
A significant highlight of the event will be the exchange of MoUs with Roche Products (India) Private Limited and Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation.
A special talk titled "Transforming Lives, Strengthening India Together (Roche-NIPER)" will be delivered by Ms. Sheetal Ranganathan, Chief Strategy Officer, Roche.
The Foundation Day celebrations will also include prize distribution for various competitions, felicitation of employees who have completed 25 years of service, and recognition of employees superannuating in the year 2026.
The event is expected to be attended by faculty members, scientists, staff, students, and invited guests from various academic and research institutions.
