SANRACHNA 2026 - A grand celebration of excellence, values achievement

JAMMU, Feb 15: Nav Adarsh Hr. Sec. School, Kathua, celebrated its Annual Day "SANRACHNA 2026" with grandeur, dignity, and vibrant enthusiasm on 14th February 2026 at the school campus.
The programme was graced by Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Hon'ble MLA Kathua, as the Chief Guest. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of Kewal Krishan, Chief Education Officer, Kathua, and Ravinder Singh, DYSP Headquarters Kathua, along with eminent dignitaries from the education fraternity, civil society, media representatives, and proud alumni of the institution.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before Maa Saraswati, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
The Principal, Riti Prakash Singh presented the Annual Report of the academic session 2025-26, highlighting the school's inspiring journey since its establishment in 1984 under the visionary leadership of Shri Gandharb Singh Katal, Director, with the constant support of Mrs. Lalita Katal, Chairperson. The report proudly reflected the institution's remarkable growth from a modest beginning to a well-established educational centre with two academic blocks and modern facilities.
Students excelling in academics, sports, innovation and co-curricular activities were felicitated during the ceremony. Alumni serving in defence services, police, higher education, finance, hospitality, and public administration were also honoured for bringing laurels to their alma mater and inspiring the younger generation.
The cultural programme, based on social awareness and value-based themes, mesmerized the audience with meaningful performances reflecting creativity, confidence, and responsible citizenship.
In his address, the Chief Guest appreciated the consistent academic excellence of the school and lauded the management for its dedication to quality education and character-building. Other dignitaries also congratulated the institution for its remarkable achievements and contribution to society.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks presented by the Director, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, distinguished guests, alumni, parents, media representatives, staff, and students for making SANRACHNA 2026 a grand success.
Others who graced with their presence were Prof. Ram Murti Sharma, Kapil Dev Sharma, Mahipal Sharma, Arvind Gupta, Arun Sharma, Satpal Badyal.
