Grand Mahashivratri Bhandara organised at Jammu

JAMMU, Feb 15: On the sacred occasion of Mahashivratri, a grand Bhandara was organised at Roop Nagar Market, Jammu, under the aegis of the Chamber of Traders Federation, Jammu and Roop Nagar Durga Chinore (RDC) Traders Association.
Satish Sharma, Hon'ble Cabinet Minister, J&K UT, was the Chief Guest, The programme commenced with a visit to the revered Aap Shambu Ji Temple, a prominent and ancient shrine known for its deep religious significance and unwavering faith of devotees across Jammu.
The Minister, accompanied prominent members of the market, offered special prayers and performed puja at the holy shrine of Baba Shambu Ji, seeking divine blessings for peace, prosperity and harmony in Jammu & Kashmir. The temple premises witnessed a spiritually charged atmosphere with devotees thronging in large numbers to pay obeisance on the holy night of Lord Shiva.
After performing the puja, the Hon'ble Minister conveyed his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all devotees, traders, and their families on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. He appreciated the efforts of the traders' fraternity for organising the Bhandara and maintaining the sanctity and traditions associated with the holy festival.
Neeraj Anand also performed prayers at the temple and prayed for the well-being, prosperity and good health of all members of the trading community and citizens of Jammu. He reiterated the commitment of the Chamber of Traders Federation to continue working in the spirit of unity, service and social responsibility.
The Bhandara was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Minister amidst chanting of devotional hymns and by performing Kanya pujan and was attended by a large gathering of prominent members including Manohar Singh,Dinesh Gupta, Tushar Mahajan, Ramesh Khajuria, Rahul Sharma, Rita Gupta, Enakshi Mahajan, Sohan Agarwal, Ganesh Sharma and others.
