Early Times Report RAJOURI, Feb 16: The Indian Army conducted a Medical Patrol at Thalia (Mathiyanigala) to provide essential healthcare services to the local population residing in remote border areas. The patrol aimed to offer free medical consultations, basic treatment and the distribution of essential medicines to villagers with limited access to healthcare facilities. A total of 37 beneficiaries, including 17 males, 12 females and 8 children received medical assistance during the programme. The Indian Army medical team examined patients for common ailments, provided necessary medications and offered guidance on hygiene, preventive healthcare and seasonal diseases. Special attention was given to children and elderly individuals to ensure comprehensive care. This initiative not only addressed immediate medical needs but also strengthened mutual trust, goodwill and cooperation between the Indian Army and the local community. Such activities reaffirm the Army's commitment to the welfare and well-being of citizens living in remote and border areas. |
