Kashmiri Pandits organize Herath Milan

JAMMU, Feb 16: A grand Herath Milan was today organized at Vintage Court Durga Nagar Jammu which was attended by large number of Dispalced kashmiri migrants and some notable socio political activists, intellectual and academicians of the displaced community.
Syed Altaf Bukhari Former Minister & President Jammu Kashmir Apni Party was the chief guest on the occasion and senior Apni party leaders Ghulam Hassan Mir, senior Vice President, Shri Vijay Bakaya General Secretary, Sardar Manjeet Singh Provincial President Jammu, Abdul Majid Paddar State Coordinator and former Minister also graced the event with their benign participation.
The function was organized by M.K.Yogi I/c Shangus Constituency East Anantnag senior KP/Apni Party leader . Oshvi sadhu started the herath milan with sarswati vanda, rudhrash abheshk, geeta sholak & milan, urmila kanth and her team performed the rituals with isband and deep parjwal ceremony was also carried out by the chief guest and other senior leaders present on the stage.
Vijay Bakaya Former Chief Secretary and general secretary Apni party in his welcome address on the occasion greeted the community members on Maha Shiv Ratri Festival And Herath milan.
Bakaya explained in detail the importance of this holy festival and appealed Government of India for making a tangible rehabilitation policy for early resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits back in valley with honour and dignity in a time bound period.
Sayeed Altaf Bukhari former Minister and chief guest of the function in his speech greeted the displaced community on Herath Parv and Herath Milan and he said Kashmir is incomplete without Kashmiri Pandits and people of Kashmir whole heartedly miss Pandit brethren. He urged Governent of India and UT Governent to take tangible steps for addressing their genuine problems in exile including formation of concrete rehabilitation policy for their settlement back in valley with honour and dignity.
Padma Shree Shri Brij Lal Bhat, State awardee Sh. Vivek suri & Sh Krishan Langoo were felicitated on the occasion by the chief guest and others.
M.K.Yogi senior leader while expressing vote of thanks to all said that kashmir displaced community has suffered a lot during last more than thirty seven years in exile and urged the senior leadership to take up the buring issues of this displaced community at the highest concerned forum for immediate addressal. While expressing vote of thanks he said that such like events cement communal harmony, brotherhood and amity among the society and also exhibits our composite culture which is our ancient heritage.
Other prominent socio political activists and intellectual who attended Herath Milan were Prof.Ashok Aima, Padamshree K.N.Pandita, Prof. B L Zutshi, Vinod Pandita, Abhay Bakaya, Vinod Wali (advocate), B. L Saraf (Retd Judge), Sharda Nandan, Mohan lal comrade ,Prof GL Koul, Kuldeep kashmiri ,M.K.Malla , B.N Sadhu, Ashok sathu, Ravi jogi, Rohit bhat , T. K. Dhar, Rakesh koul, Sanjay Ganjoo ,P. L Thusoo, Dr T K Bhat, Ashwani Bhat, Babloo Gosani, Lovely Bhan, Kuldeep Raina, Shuban Dhar, Daisy Bhat, urmila kanth ,Sanjay Raina , Anuradha Pandita Ravi kachroo, Satish kandru , Dr Ramesh Bhat , Kamal Ganjoo, Kusum Tickoo, Sunderi Lal Koul, M.K.Bangroo, Muktesh Yogi, Ashutosh Pandit, Dr Rohit Koul, Vaibhav Mattoo, Naveen Gosani, Advocate C.L. Bhat, Raj kalam Rohit bhat and Singer Rajesh kher along with team members and program was hosted by P.K.Raina.
