Say goodbye to lines! The 'Rail One' super app has brought a digital revolution to Jammu Division
2/17/2026 11:01:37 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 17: New steps are being taken from time to time to promote digitalization in the Jammu Division of Northern Railway. In this digitalization revolution, the Railways has launched the multipurpose digital platform 'RailOne App', keeping in mind the convenience of passengers. This app is an important initiative towards providing various railway-related information and services on a single digital platform. The 'RailOne' app was launched on July 1, 2025, by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Since the launch of the app, Indian Railways has been continuously focusing on increasing its utility. In this regard, various divisions are emphasizing the maximum use of passengers. In this context, today, February 17, under the guidance of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mr. Uchit Singhal, a comprehensive trial of the state-of-the-art integrated digital platform 'RailOne' app was conducted for the convenience of passengers, especially students and daily commuters. A publicity campaign was conducted. Awareness campaigns were conducted at all railway stations under the Jammu division and at various educational institutions, including the University of Jammu, to promote the benefits of the app. Passengers were informed about the RailOne app at railway stations, and over 500 students and teachers across all educational institutions in Jammu were provided with detailed information about the app. To foster lasting awareness, informational pamphlets were pasted on notice boards in various departments of the university and distributed among students.
Highlighting the app's key features and benefits, it was explained that it provides passengers with all the services they need in one place, instead of using multiple different apps (such as IRCTC, UTS, Rail Madad).
Passengers will receive a 3% discount on booking unreserved and platform tickets using digital payments or R-Wallet through the RailOne app. This scheme is valid until July 14, 2026.
Passengers can now book reserved, unreserved (UTS), and platform tickets from a single app.
Get accurate information on the train's real-time location, coach status, and platform number.
The integration of the app with the facility to order food directly to your seat during your journey allows passengers to quickly report any issues.
Students from Jammu universities can easily manage their Monthly Season Tickets (MST) through this app.
Elaborating on the usefulness of the Rail One app, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mr. Uchit Singhal, said, "The RailOne app has been developed with modern data analytics and security standards. Our primary objective is to make passenger travel completely paperless and seamless. This app not only simplifies ticket booking but also enhances our ability to improve services based on real-time feedback from passengers. With this app, passengers can easily book their travel tickets without wasting time and without waiting in line at the ticket counter." With this, he can get rid of the hassle of carrying loose change. Jammu Division requests all its passengers to make maximum use of the 'RailOne App' and also make fellow passengers aware of this app."
