Early Times Report MENDHAR, Feb 17: A One-Day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme(ICOP) on Expert Lectures on VB G RAM G, Pradhan Matri Kaushal Vikas Yojna and National Livestock Mission was organized by Central Bureau of Communication, Poonch, (J&K), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India at Govt. Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Mendhar, Poonch. Mohammad Irfan Chaudhary, Block Development Officer Mendhar, Mohd. Azad from ITI Mendhar, Durga Prakash, Stage Manager CBC, R. O. Jammu, Dr. Firdaus Ahmed from Sheep Husbandry Department Mendhar, Staff members of Govt ITI, CBC and Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS)Mendhar were prominent among others who attended the programme. Expert Lectures on VB G RAM G, Pradhan Matri Kaushal Vikas Yojna and National Livestock Mission, Drawing Competition, Open Quiz, distribution of 'New India Samachar' magazine of Govt of India, and cultural items were the main attraction of the day. Mohd. Irfan, BDO, said that the Govt. of India is committed to making India a developed nation. The Union Govt. is taking every possible step to make the life of the countrymen easy and respectable through its policies like VB G RAM G Act-2925, Skill India, National Livestock Mission, DBT, Ujjawala, PKGKAY, Saubhagya Yojna, Har Ghar Jal, SBM, KCC, Stand up India, Start Up India, Mudra Loans, etc, he added. He also appreciated the role of CBC for spreading awareness in urban and rural areas. Vijay Mattoo, In-charge CBC, Poonch in his welcome address gave a detailed overview of the Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP). He discussed various initiatives under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes. He enlightened the gathering about various initiatives through which one can become self-reliant and job provider than job seeker. Dr. Firdaus Ahmed from Sheep Husbandry Department gave an overview of various schemes related to Sheep Husbandry Department like National Livestock Mission, Dharti Abha, etc for employment generation, entrepreneurship, increase in animal productivity, (meat of Sheep, Goat; poultry, wool, egg) availability of fodder cultivation etc. He explained criteria and subsidy for availing various schemes. Harish Jamwal from RDD spoke about Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgaar and Ajivika Mission (Gramin) Act 2025 (VB G RAM G Act-2025). He said the Act responds to various weak experiences of MGNREGA through a comprehensive legislative reset. It strengthens the implementation framework by increasing the administrative expenditure ceiling from 6 percent to 9 per cent, providing greater support for staffing, remuneration, training, and technical capacity. Shafait Hussain, Instructor ITI, spoke about Kaushal Vikas Yojna (Skill India). He said the scheme focuses on making Indian Youth skilled through professional training, working experience, certification, providing scholarship, placement and providing loans for starting entrepreneurs and becoming self-reliant. The skill India transforms youth from job seeker to job provider, he added. Earlier a drawing competition was organized by CBC Poonch in which about 25 students from ITI and ERMS participated. An open Quiz was also conducted to engage the audience on the topic of Centrally Sponsored schemes and general awareness. Theme based and folk cultural items were presented by Empanelled Troupe of CBC, J&K. Ch Mehboob Ahmed conducted the programmes. All the winners of competitions and guests were honoured suitably by CBC Poonch. |
