JAMMU, Feb 18: Dogra Degree College (Autonomous), Jammu, successfully organized a Pre-Placement Talk in collaboration with ICICI Bank for final-year students, under the aegis of the Training & Placement Cell. The initiative aimed to bridge the academia-industry gap by equipping students with first-hand insights into contemporary banking careers and the upcoming recruitment process.
The session was addressed by Ms. Ruma Vij Pandey, HR Manager, ICICI Bank, who delivered an informative and interactive presentation. She began with a detailed overview of the company profile, highlighting the bank's journey, vision, mission, and strong presence in the Indian banking sector. She also explained the organizational structure of the bank and the various departments that contribute to its efficient functioning.
During her address, Ms. Pandey elaborated on the job roles available for fresh graduates and clearly outlined the eligibility criteria for applicants. She emphasized the importance of communication skills, customer service orientation, professionalism, and fundamental banking knowledge. She also shared valuable guidance regarding interview preparation and informed students about the necessary documentation and records required during the recruitment process.
The session further covered the salary package and growth opportunities offered by ICICI Bank. Students were informed about competitive compensation, performance-based incentives, structured training programs, and long-term career advancement prospects within the organization. Important instructions regarding the recruitment drive such as registration procedures, timelines, and required documents were also shared.
