| GDC RS Pura organizes drug abuse and HIV/AIDS awareness programme | | | Early Times Report
RS PURA, Feb 18: Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College R.S. Pura organized a programme on Drug Abuse and HIV/AIDS awareness. As per instructions received from J&K AIDS Control, Department of Health and Medical Education, two day event was organized in the college. On 17-02-2026, a poster making competition was held in which students from all the three semesters participated. First prize was clinched by Aarushi Sharma of semester VI whereas II and III prizes were begged by Ruhani and Khushi of semester IV respectively. Rishabh Singh Chib of semester VI received consolation prize. The event was adjudged by Faculty members Dr. Sudesh Kumar, Dr. Aakrity Parihar and Prof. Vijeeta Anand. After that students and faculty members formed a human chain to spread the message of Drug abuse and HIV/AIDS. On 18-02-2026, an awareness lecture was organized for the students. Dr. Himani Bhutyal, Medical Officer and master Yoga Trainer, Department of Ayush, J&K was the resource person. The events were organized by members of Red Ribbon Club including Prof. Priya Darshni (Convener), Prof. Geetika Goswami, Dr. Savleen Kour and Prof. Lukesha Dabgotra (NSS PO) under the overall guidance and supervision of Prof (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, Principal of the college. |
