CBC organises ICOP on VB GRAM G & Skill India at Hiranagar

HIRANAGAR, Feb 18: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, organised an Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme on Viksit Bharat Guaranteed Rozgar Ajeevika Mission (VB G RAM G) Act 2025 and the Skill India Mission at Industrial Training Institute Hiranagar today. The programme was attended by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Hiranagar, Phulail Singh (JKAS) as the Chief Guest. In his address, he urged the youth of Hiranagar to take maximum benefit of various Government schemes aimed at empowerment and self-reliance. He particularly highlighted the significant amendments introduced in the VB G RAM G Act 2025 and encouraged active participation of young citizens in developmental initiatives. Dheeraj Kumar (JKAS), expert from the Rural Development Department, spoke in detail about the provisions and objectives of the VB G RAM G Act 2025. He elaborated on its key features and the role of rural communities in achieving sustainable development. Gautam Sudan, Instructor at ITI Hiranagar, emphasised the importance of the Skill India Mission as a powerful tool for nation-building and self-employment. He encouraged students to enhance their technical skills and align themselves with emerging employment opportunities. The main objective of the programme was to establish a strong linkage between Skill India initiatives and the objectives of the VB G RAM G framework, promoting self-employment and grassroots development. On the occasion, a drawing competition was organised for students alongside a seminar and expert lectures by representatives of various nodal departments. The event also witnessed a captivating cultural performance by artists of CBC, Jammu & Kashmir, which added vibrancy to the programme.
It concluded with a vote of thanks by Sh Rajesh Sharma in-charge of the programme, with light refreshments.
