Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 18: Under the dynamic leadership of Prof. B. N. Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu, Startup ideas were presented for the Challenge Fund at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu. The proposals were evaluated under the Competitiveness improvement of agriculture and allied sectors project in UT of J&K (JKCIP). The evaluation committee was led by Sandeep Kumar, IFS, Managing Director, HADP/JKCIP and Dr. S.K. Gupta Director Research, SKUAST-Jammu. The initiative aims to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and agribusiness development in the region. A total of 37 startup ideas will be selected this year under the Challenge Fund. Each selected idea will receive financial support of ?5 lakh to help convert innovative concepts into viable ventures. The members of committee include Dr. Jyoti Kachroo, Director ABI Foundation, Dr. Pawan Sharma, Head, AEABM and Nodal Officer JKCIP, SKUAST-Jammu, Dr. Anil Bhat, Associate Director Research and Co-PI, JKCIP, Dr. Veer Abhimanyu Kolul, Technical Officer, Dr. Muqbil Burhan, Associate Professor, IIM, Jammu and Dr. Nalin Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor, IIT Jammu. Sh. Sahil Gupta Incubation Manager and Ms. Magan Deep Kour, Young Professional conducted the proceedings of the event. |
