He stated that the deployment of an ACLS ambulance reflects the Railway Administration's continued commitment to providing the best possible healthcare facilities to its employees and their families. The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) ambulance is a highly specialized medical transport unit functioning as a "moving ICU" for critically ill patients. Staffed by highly trained paramedics, it is equipped to provide advanced airway management, cardiac monitoring, defibrillation, intravenous medication administration, and other life-saving interventions. Such ambulances play a crucial role in stabilizing patients suffering from cardiac arrest, stroke, severe trauma, or other life-threatening conditions during transit to a hospital. Suresh Chand, PCMO, expressed his appreciation for this valuable addition to PLW Railway Hospital infrastructure and assured that the ambulance and Emergency Response Team would significantly enhance emergency response capability within the workshop and surrounding areas. |
