JAMMU, Feb 20: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking, Jammu (Rural) Police arrested a drug peddler during naka checking on Ring Road in the Kanachak area.
A police team of Police Station Kanachak intercepted a suspicious vehicle (JK02AG-0279) coming from Belicharana towards Jhiri. The driver, identified as Shivankur S/O Kehar Singh R/O Shamachak, was found in possession of approximately 7.5 grams of heroin-like substance during checking.
In this regard, FIR No. 24/2026 under Sections 8, 21 and 22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachak. The accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
