Early Times Report RAMBAN, Feb 20: As a part of CRPF's social outreach initiative, the 84 Bn CRPF, under the aegis of Jammu Sector CRPF, organized a day long free Medical Camp at the secluded village of Palli on 20 Feb 26. The objective of the camp is providing healthcare services to the needy villagers residing in the remote areas where such facilities are not available. The camp was inaugurated by N Ranbir Singh Commandant, in the presence of Sh Vikram Singh Second in Command, Sh Roop Ram Meena Asstt Cdt, Sh Pawan Singh Ex Sarpanch, and other prominent villagers. During the camp, free medical consultations, treatment, diagnostic test like ECG, Blood and Sugar tests and free medicine were provided to over 300 villagers including elderly women and children from Palli and nearby areas. A free First Aid Kit, with basic medicines, was also provided to the Ex Sarpanch and the Village Health Worker, for future use. While addressing the gathering, the Commandant stated that CRPF, the largest paramilitary Force, is entrusted with the responsibility of Internal Security of the vast and diverse India. Besides, performing security duties, the Force undertakes various Civic Action Programmes to foster strong bond with the local populace and to contribute in nation-building. The medical team of 84 Bn included Dr Anu Gorke SMO/DC, and Dr Biranmol Singh MO/AC and paramedics. The Ex Sarpanch and the villagers expressed their deep appreciation to the 84 Bn CRPF for organizing such Free Medical Camp in their remote village. |
