2/20/2026 10:58:40 PM
Early Times Report
NEW DELHI, Feb 20: BJP Spokesperson and Convenor, International Affairs, Gaurav Gupta, who attended the recently concluded AI Summit in New Delhi, said the event marked a defining moment for India's emergence as a global technology leader under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam, took place from February 16-21, 2026. Originally scheduled to conclude on February 20, the summit was extended by one additional day due to overwhelming demand and unprecedented popularity among global delegates, policymakers, innovators and technology stakeholders. The extension, according to Gupta, reflected the global enthusiasm surrounding India's AI vision.
Issuing statement after attending key sessions and interacting with innovators, startup founders and technology developers, Gupta said the summit demonstrated that "Modi ka Bharat is no longer a participant in global technology conversations - it is leading them."
He emphasised that representatives, policymakers and technology pioneers from multiple nations shared one platform in New Delhi, highlighting India's growing stature in global technology diplomacy.
"It is a historic moment that global forces converged on one stage in India. This reflects the immense trust and confidence the international community places in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and India's forward-looking digital vision," Gupta said.
Highlighting India's transformation over the past decade, Gupta stated, "Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has transformed into a digital powerhouse. From world-class Digital Public Infrastructure to progressive AI innovation frameworks, Modi ji has laid the foundation of a confident, capable and globally respected New India."
Referring to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India, he added, "This is Self-Reliant India in action. 'Made in India' technologies are now 'Made for the World'. India is not merely adopting Artificial Intelligence - it is creating, innovating and shaping global standards."
Gupta also stressed India's commitment to ethical and human-centric AI. "AI must empower humanity and uplift society. Modi ji's governance model ensures that technology benefits every citizen, reflecting the spirit of inclusive development," he said.
Calling India a rising Vishwaguru in the digital age, Gupta asserted that the summit reinforced India's central role in shaping responsible AI cooperation, inclusive innovation and global technological progress.
