Samba, Feb 22: Samba Police has worked out a vehicle theft case registered at Police Station Vijaypur, arrested an accused person and recovered stolen car from his possession.
On 28.01.2026, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Vijaypur by one person namely Sanjeev Choudhary S/o Bachan Lal R/o W. No.12 Vijaypur district Samba regarding theft of his white colour car ‘Celerio’ bearing registration No.JK21H-0067 from his shed near Vishwakarma Mandir Vijaypur during the intervening night of 27/28.01.2026 by unknown person(s).
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 18/2026 U/S 331(4), 305 BNS was registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a Police team of PS Vijaypur after relentless efforts, apprehended a suspect who upon sustained questioning confessed his involvement in the instant case. The arrested accused have been identified as Rohit Slathia S/o Padam Singh R/o Gurah Slathia, Vijaypur.
On the disclosure of said accused person, stolen Car was recovered from his possession. Further investigation of the case is going on. |
