Early Times Report

REASI, Feb 24: The District Industries Centre Reasi organized a one-day awareness camp today at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) to create awareness about the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. The programme was conducted under the guidance and supervision of General Manager, DIC Navdeep Wazir. The programme aimed to educate the potential beneficiaries and the students of ITI about the benefits of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and other initiatives being implemented by the District Industries Centre.
During the programme, applicants were advised to regularly update and track the status of their online applications to avail loan benefits under the scheme with assistance from their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC).
The Functional Manager DIC Mohammad Ajaz Ul Rehman highlighted the schemes being implemented by the I&C department to encourage youth to become job creators rather than job seekers. He elaborated on the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, explaining the application procedure and the process of submitting online applications.
The District Manager CSC advised the CSC operators of the District to handhold the applicants to facilitate timely processing and sanction of benefits under the scheme.
Participants were also informed about the benefits and subsidies available under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), supporting ventures in the manufacturing and service sectors.
Earlier, the seminar commenced with a welcome address by Superintendent, ITI Rajesh Banotra.
