Early Times Report RAMGARH, Feb 26: Government Degree College, Ramgarh, under the able guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) MeeruAbrol, successfully organised a Youth Parliament on the theme "Viksit Bharat" on 26th February 2026. The programme aimed to inculcate democratic values and enhance students' understanding of parliamentary procedures while encouraging constructive dialogue on India's developmental vision. The Youth Parliament witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who assumed various parliamentary roles with great zeal and confidence. Sohani and Anjali Tripathi represented the ruling government and spoke in favour of the motion, presenting well-structured arguments highlighting the initiatives and roadmap towards achieving the vision of a developed India. Representing the opposition, Vansh Bagal and Raghu Nagial critically examined the motion and spoke against it, raising thoughtful concerns and alternative perspectives. Adarsh Malhotra efficiently conducted the proceedings as the Speaker of the House, maintaining discipline and decorum throughout the session and ensuring adherence to parliamentary norms. The event was also graced by the presence of Prof. Sandeep Kumari, Head of the Department of Education, whose encouragement added value to the programme. The event was organised by the Department of Political Science and coordinated by Dr. Anjana Raina. The programme provided a vibrant platform for students to engage in meaningful deliberations, thereby strengthening their awareness of democratic processes and responsibilities.
