Traffic Advisory for Safe Movement on Mughal Road from Bufliaz to Peer Ki Gali

POONCH, Feb 26: The Deputy Commissioner, Poonch vide his order issued under endorsement No. DMP/J/13043-52 dated 26/02/2026 has ordered the opening of Mughal Road from Bufliaz to Peer KI Gali for Light Motor Vehicles w.e.f. 27/02/2026 between 1100 hours to 1500 hours. In order to ensure safety of the commuters, public at large is appealed to follow below given advisory/safety tips for safe journey and to avert road accidents:-
o Only LMVs shall be allowed to travel through the Mughal Road w.e.f. 27/02/2026 onwards.
o No vehicle shall be allowed to travel in violation of the prescribed time slot i.e. before 1100 hours and after 1500 hours.
o Snow accumulation may cause slippery road conditions and reduced visibility.
Commuters are advised to avoid sudden braking and maintain safe distance between the vehicles.
o Keep headlights on during low visibility
o Do not stop at "land slide/shooting stone/avalanche" prone areas.
o Keep sufficient fuel in the vehicle along with mandatory tool kit.
o Commuters shall ensure that their vehicle is in good condition.
o Check real-time traffic updates and road closures for your route.
o Allow extra travel time and keep your phone charged in case you need to call for assistance.
o Prior to taking the journey, verify the status of road and advisory.
o Follow lane discipline and avoid overtaking particularly on the turns,
o Do no overload the vehicle which may leads to imbalance and consequent road accident/mishap.
