Hackureka-II National Hackathon Inspires Innovation at MM(DU), Mullana

NEW DELHI, Feb 27: The Google Developers Club On Campus (GDGOC) and IEEE Student Branch of Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University) successfully organized Hackureka-II, a National Level Hackathon, on the university campus. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 650 students and faculty members from various constituent institutes of the university, reflecting a vibrant culture of innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving.
The hackathon stood as a testament to the visionary leadership of Hon'ble Chancellor Tarsem Kumar Garg and the proactive guidance of the University Management under Vishal Garg, who have consistently focused on nurturing future leaders and innovators. Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Harish Sharma has always emphasized the importance of developing problem-solving aptitude, innovation, and practical thinking among students-values clearly reflected in the organization and execution of this prestigious hackathon.
The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest B. Sridhar Reddy, Pro Vice-Chancellor, MM(DU), along with distinguished industry experts as judges, including Vipin Mehta, Senior Architect, HCL Infotech, and Abhishek Mittal, Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce. Their presence inspired and motivated participants to think innovatively and competitively. In his inaugural address, the Chief Guest encouraged students to adopt entrepreneurship and become job creators rather than job seekers.
Several senior academic and administrative dignitaries also graced the occasion, including Vishal Bharti, Principal, MMEC; Rajiv K. Chechi, HoD & Director - AI; Rajesh Khanna, Director, Skilling; Sanjeev Rana, Director - CDOL; Amit Bindal, Coordinator of the Event; along with Vishal Gupta and Ankur Mangla, Chairpersons of the event. All dignitaries encouraged students to actively explore startup and entrepreneurial opportunities through innovation and technology-driven solutions.
The inauguration ceremony concluded with a motivational address by Dr. Vishal Bharti, followed by a vote of thanks by Dr. Rajiv K. Chechi, and the National Anthem.
Hackureka-II emerged as a powerful platform to inspire young minds, promote innovation, and motivate students to transform their creative ideas into sustainable startups and impactful solutions, reinforcing the progressive vision and academic excellence of Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University), Mullana, Ambala, Haryana.
