Exposure Visit Held at Food Craft Institute Jammu

JAMMU, Feb 27: The students of PM Shri Government Girls Middle School Jindrah today participated in an educational exposure visit to the Food Craft Institute Jammu, an esteemed institute functioning under the Department of Skill Development, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, located at Nagrota. The visit aimed to provide practical insight and career awareness to the students in the field of hospitality, culinary arts, and skill-based education.
The visiting batch of students was warmly welcomed by Ms. Jyoti Bhatti, Principal of Food Craft Institute Jammu, who interacted with the students and highlighted the importance of vocational education and skill development in today's competitive world. She emphasized the growing opportunities in the hospitality sector and encouraged students to explore professional courses offered by the institute.
During the visit, faculty members including Rajinder Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Prince, Anayatulla Batt, and Reyaz Ahmed Lone conducted live demonstrations and displayed various food crafts. They provided detailed explanations about food preparation techniques, bakery and confectionery items, table setting, kitchen management, and hospitality services. The students were made aware of the practical aspects of the culinary field and were given an opportunity to observe modern equipment and training facilities available at the institute. The exposure visit proved highly informative and inspiring for the students, broadening their understanding of vocational career pathways and enhancing their practical knowledge beyond classroom learning. The programme was conducted under the supervision of the Incharge Headmaster of PM Shri Government Girls Middle School Jindrah, Shamash Din, who appreciated the initiative and stressed the need for such experiential learning opportunities.
The visit was efficiently coordinated by Sadaket Ali, Teacher, whose efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the programme. A session was held in which was addressed by Principal and students were made familiar of courses offered by the Institute.
