UDHAMPUR, Feb 28: Police team of PP Tikri during naka checking at Tikri, noticed one person coming on foot from Tikri towards Katra side who on seeing the naka party, attempted to flee but was swiftly apprehended.
The accused identified himself as Surjeet Singh S/O Naseeb Singh R/O SMVDU Kakryal, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi.
During personal search, 09.09 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, the accused was arrested on the spot and FIR No. 40/2026 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered.
Further investigation of the case is underway. |
