Early Times Report RAMGARH, Feb 28: The Road Safety Club of Government Degree College Ramgarh organized an awareness rally to promote road safety and responsible driving among students and the local community. The rally was conducted under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, Principal of the College. The event was organized by Dr. Shivali Panjgotra, Convener, Road Safety Club, along with the dedicated support of the Road Safety Club members and faculty members including Prof. Sandeep Kumari, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Prof. Brahm Dutt, Dr. Anjana Raina, and Mr. Govind Sharma. A large number of students actively participated in the rally, carrying informative placards and raising impactful slogans such as "Follow Traffic Rules, Save Lives" and "Be Alert, Prevent Accidents." The rally commenced from the college campus and passed through the nearby areas, drawing the attention of the public towards crucial issues like over-speeding, drunk driving, use of mobile phones while driving, and the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts. The initiative aimed at sensitizing both students and the general public about the growing number of road accidents and the need for collective responsibility in ensuring safer roads. Through this awareness drive, the college reaffirmed its dedication to fostering civic sense, social responsibility, and community engagement among students. The programme concluded successfully with a strong message emphasizing that road safety is a shared responsibility and that disciplined driving can save countless lives. |
