| GDC Neeli Nallah organizes 3-Day Intracollege Sports Tournament | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Mar 2: Government Degree College Neeli Nallah successfully organized 3 days Intracollege Sports Tournament with great enthusiasm and active participation under the able guidance of Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora. The students were divided amongst three houses namely, Peace, Calm and Harmony. The event was aimed at promoting physical fitness, teamwork, leadership qualities, and a spirit of healthy competition among the students. On the first day of the tournament, events such as Tug of War for both boys and girls of the 4th semester were conducted, followed by a cricket match among the 4th semester students. The competitions witnessed high energy and excitement, with participants demonstrating remarkable strength, coordination, and team spirit. The second day featured badminton matches in both singles and doubles categories for boys and girls of the 4th semester. Alongside badminton, kho-kho matches were organized, which showcased agility and teamwork among the players. A chess competition was also conducted, highlighting the intellectual and strategic skills of the participants. On the third and final day, table tennis competitions were organized for boys of the 4th semester and girls of the 2nd semester. The matches were played with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, bringing the tournament to an exciting conclusion. The entire tournament was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, Convenor Sports Committee, ensuring smooth organization and fair play throughout the three days. The Principal of the college also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Sunil Tanoch, Dr. Akhter Hussain and Dr. Bilal Ahmad Beigh, members of the organizing committee and congratulated the students for their spirited participation. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners and runners-up, marking the successful completion of the tournament and reinforcing the institution's commitment to the overall development of its students. |
