Early Times Report AMRITSAR, Mar 5: Under the able leadership of Vice Chancellor Dr. Karamjeet Singh, Directorate of Placement & Career Enhancement successfully organized a Job Utsav in coordination with NAANDI Foundation, providing a dynamic platform for students to connect with leading recruiters. Students from various departments of the university enthusiastically participated in the Job Utsav, reflecting the growing commitment of GNDU towards enhancing employability and industry readiness among its students. Around 100+ students from various faculties like Business & Economics, Engineering & Technology, Sciences, Life Sciences and Humanities took part in the recruitment drive. Several reputed companies participated in the event, including Axis Bank, Quess Corp Limited, HDB Financial Services, Ravenbhel Group, Swani Motor, and Nanak Institute of Maths and Sciences. These organizations offered diverse job opportunities across banking, financial services, education, health care, pharmaceuticals and automobile sectors. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Harvinder Singh Saini, Dean Academic Affairs, appreciated the initiative and said that such industry-academia collaborations play a crucial role in bridging the gap between classroom learning and corporate expectations. He emphasized that GNDU remains committed to creating meaningful career opportunities for students and equipping them with the skills required to excel in a competitive job market. Dr. Amit Chopra, Director, Directorate of Placement & Career Enhancement, highlighted that the Job Utsav is part of the university's continuous efforts to strengthen industry linkages and expand placement avenues for students. He stated that the Directorate is consistently working to bring reputed companies to campus and ensure maximum participation and placements for students across streams. |
