Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 5: With great enthusiasm and a deep sense of civic responsibility, the Road Safety Awareness Committee of PSPS GCW Gandhinagar Jammu, in collaboration with various Departments of the College organized a series of impactful activities to sensitize youth about road safety and shared responsibility under the aegis of the Higher Education Department, UT of J&K. At the outset, with spirited determination and collective zeal, a rally on the theme "Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha" was organized by the NCC ANOs of 8 J&K Girls Battalion, 9 J&K Girls Battalion, 1 J&K Srinagar Naval Unit, along with the NSS Programme Officers of Units I & II. During the rally, nearly 100 cadets and volunteers participated enthusiastically, holding vibrant placards and, with strong voices and clear conviction, spreading awareness among fellow students and local residents about the importance of road discipline and responsible citizenship. Moving forward creatively and purposefully, the Department of Home Science organized a Painting Competition where, through expressive strokes and thoughtful themes, students visually depicted the significance of safe driving practices. Simultaneously, with intellectual fervor and persuasive articulation, the Departments of Political Science ,Sociology and Social work conducted a Slogan Writing Competition, encouraging students to craft impactful messages promoting road safety. Furthermore, with confidence and eloquence, the Department of Languages organized an Elocution Contest, where participants spoke passionately about the urgent need to observe road safety norms in everyday life. |
