Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Mar 5: To take governance to the doorsteps of the people and expedite grievance redressal, the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today convened a public outreach camp at Panchayat Ghar Dehari in Sub-Division Ramnagar. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Swati Sheemar, Assistant Commissioner Development Om Parkash and the district officers of line departments attended the camp. Former PRI members and a large number of locals from adjoining Panchayats raised several issues of public importance. During the interaction, the local public projected several demands, seeking road connectivity from the main road to Anshuman Kendra at Dehari, augmentation of water supply, up-gradation of High Schools to Higher Secondary Schools, sports stadiums at the Panchayat level, adequate teaching staff, reduction in power curtailment, compensation for flood victims, clearance and restoration of roads damaged due to floods, repair of the Ramnagar Bus Stand, promotion of Pinla Mata and Chountra Mata as tourist destinations and employment opportunities for local youth. Responding to the demands, the Deputy Commissioner assured them that all their genuine issues would be examined and addressed in a time-bound manner. |
