Early Times Report NEW DELHI, Mar 7: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah addressed a large public gathering on Saturday at Bairagi Camp in Haridwar under the programme "Jan Jan Ki Sarkar, 4 Saal Bemisaal." Beginning his address with the Uttarakhand statehood movement, the Union Home Minister said that the youth of Uttarakhand had to come out on the streets to protect their identity, culture, and rights, and during that struggle they had to face incidents like the Rampur Tiraha firing. Later, when the BJP government came to power at the Centre, the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee decided to create new states including Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Today, all three states are progressing rapidly on the path of development. The Home Minister said that Uttarakhand was created by Atal Ji, and now it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is shaping and strengthening it. In this context, the period from 2017 to 2026 has been dedicated to Uttarakhand's development. |
