Samba police foils bovine smuggling attempt; rescues 3 bovines, seizes vehicle 3/9/2026 10:04:32 PM Early Times Report SAMBA, Mar 9: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has successfully foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal , rescued three bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers and seized a vehicle involved in the illegal transportation of bovines. Acting on information received from reliable sources, a team of Police Station Ghagwal during vehicle checking at Naka NHW Tapyal, intercepted a Mahindra Load carrier bearing registration No. JK12A-7477 for its checking. During checking, three bovines were found inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission. All the bovines have been rescued and the vehicle involved in the illegal transportation of bovines has also been seized.
