ADG Armed visits 15th Bn IR; reviews functioning, inaugurated Barracks for Jawans

JAMMU, Mar 9: Anand Jain, IPS, ADG Armed, visited the HQ of the 15th Bn IR to review the functioning of the battalion and inspect the facilities being provided to the jawans especially the women officials of the battalion. On his arrival, Jain was received with a warm welcome by the Commandant 15th Bn. IR and other officers. A lady contingent of 15th Bn. IR presented a Guard of honour to him. He was accompanied by Vinod Kumar, IPS, DIG IR Jammu, Sameer Sharma, IPS, DIG AP Jammu and Dalip Kumar, SSP, Staff Officer to ADG Armed. ADG Armed reviewed the overall functioning, operational preparedness, and welfare measures of the battalion. He emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline, professionalism, and high standards of efficiency. He also interacted with officers and officials and appreciated their dedication and commitment to duty.
Jain joined the personnel of the 15th Bn. IR in celebrating International Women's Day. On the occasion, he appreciated the role of women officers and officials in policing and acknowledged their valuable contribution in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and strengthening community confidence in the police. During his visit, a felicitation ceremony was also conducted and all the Guest Speakers/ Lady officers were presented with mementoes who were called for Week Long Programme.
Jain also inaugurated the newly renovated male barracks at the Battalion Headquarters. He highlighted that improving infrastructure and providing better living facilities for personnel remain a priority for the department, as the welfare and well-being of the force are essential for effective public service.
Among others who present on the occasion were Sargun Shukla, IPS, CO 15th Bn. IR Anita Sharma, IPS, CO 1st Bn. IR, Shaheen Wahid, SSP, ACS Jammu and other officers.
