Volleyball Tournament organised by Jammu police at Govt Primary School

JAMMU, Mar 11: The Volleyball Tournament, organised by Jammu Police under the aegis of Civic Action Programme 2025-26, concluded successfully at Govt. primary School, Ground Kaku-De-Kothay. It is pertinent to mention here that Village Kaku-De-Kothay is just adjacent to International Border in the Arnia Sector of Jammu District. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of 08 teams from Arnia,Bishnah, RS Pura & Miran Sahib areas and drew a large crowd of local spectators. SP Headquarters Jammu, Irshad Hussain Rather-JKPS graced the occasion as Chief Guest. SDPO R S Pura Gurmeet Singh-JKPS, SHO Arnia Dilawar Kumar and other officers of Headquarter Zone also remained present at the event. Prominent members of media fraternity, and respected figures from the area were also present at the final ceremony. Balbir Kour of Trewa,a well known Social figure of the area graced the occasion as Guest of honour. The final match was played between Baba Kaliveer Club Kaku-De -Kothay & Baba Deep Singh Club Sai, with Baba Kaliveer Club Kaku-De-Kothay emerging as Champions by defeating Baba Deep Singh Club Sai by 2-1 in a thrilling competition in the final match. The winning and runner-up teams were awarded cash prizes, trophies and other sports accessories. Speaking on the occasion, SP Headquarters Jammu emphasized that J&K Police is committed in engaging with youth through sports activities as a constructive initiative to steer them away from drug abuse & other social evils. The event received widespread appreciation from the local community, particularly the youth, who hailed the efforts of the police in promoting positive and healthy engagements in Bishnah and adjacent areas.
