Zero-Tolerance Approach
3/12/2026 12:44:33 AM
In yet another clear message to the terror-ists and their supporters the Jammu and Kashmir Government ordered disengagement of three workers of Jal Shakti Department over their alleged involvement in anti-national and subversive activities.
Investigations revealed alleged links of the trio to terrorism, terrorist acts, conspiracy to commit terrorist acts, harbouring terrorists, and membership/support of a terrorist organization.
The action drove home a point that terrorist supporters will continue to face the axe. Public service demands loyalty to the Constitution and commitment to the welfare of society. Any deviation from these fundamental principles won't be tolerated.
Over the past few years, the administration has consistently adopted a zero-tolerance approach toward terrorism and its ecosystem. The termination of more than eighty government employees accused of having terror links demonstrates the seriousness with which the authorities are addressing the issue. This sustained effort aims to cleanse the system of individuals who misuse their official positions while secretly aiding forces that seek to destabilize the region.
Government employees occupy positions of trust. They are expected to serve the people honestly and uphold the rule of law. When someone holding such a responsibility is found supporting or facilitating terrorism, it amounts to a betrayal of public trust. The government's decisive action in such cases is not merely punitive but also preventive, ensuring that sensitive institutions are protected from those who might misuse them for unlawful activities.
This approach also sends a strong signal to others who may be tempted to engage in or support such activities while holding public office. The message is simple and firm: public service cannot coexist with anti-national activities. The administration's commitment to maintaining accountability within its ranks is crucial for strengthening governance and restoring public confidence in institutions.
At the same time, these actions highlight the importance of continuous vigilance. Terrorism thrives not only on violence but also on networks of support, sympathisers, and facilitators. By targeting this ecosystem, the government is addressing a crucial dimension of the broader fight against terrorism. Eliminating such support structures is essential for achieving long-term peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
The message is clear: those who choose the path of terrorism or support it cannot simultaneously enjoy the privileges of public service. A clean, accountable, and loyal administrative structure is indispensable for building a stable and prosperous future for Jammu and Kashmir.
