| GDC Vijaypur to organize slogan competition on drug deaddiction | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 14: The Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan Committee of Government Degree College Vijaypur is going to organized a Slogan Writing Competition on the theme "Addiction and Impact on Individual & Social Life." The activity was conducted under the banner of the nationwide campaign Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, which aims to create awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free society. The competition seeks to encourage students to express their thoughts and raise awareness about the dangers of addiction and its adverse effects on both individuals and society through creative and impactful slogans. The programme was held under the able guidance of Principal Dr Ashu Vashisht. The Nodal Officer, Dr Anoop Kumar Bhagat, spoke on the occasion and highlighted the serious consequences of drug addiction on youth and society. He emphasized the need for awareness and collective efforts to build a drug-free nation. The activity was coordinated by Dr Gunjeet Mahiwal (Lecturer, Dept of Education), Dr Anoop Singh (HOD History) and Prof. Manisha Bharti (HOD Computer Applications) with the active support and cooperation of other faculty members of the college. In the competition, Sachin kangotra B.ASemester IIsecured the first position,Ruhi B.A Semester II won the second position, and Tanish Dhotra B.A Semester II secured the third position. The entries were adjudged by Dr Arti Sharma (HOD EVS) and Prof. Meetu Sharma (HOD Geography) who appreciated the creativity and awareness shown by the participants. Through such initiatives, the college aims to sensitize students about the serious consequences of addiction and inspire them to become responsible citizens who contribute towards building a drug-free and healthy society. |
