In a recent instance highlighting exemplary service, Sandeep Kumar, a member of the ticket-checking staff posted at Pathankot Railway Station, found a bag left behind by a female passenger on Seat No. 1 in Coach C/1 of Train No. 22429 while performing his duties. Acting promptly and responsibly, he carried out the necessary verification formalities in the presence of the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Pathankot City and subsequently returned the bag to the passenger. The bag contained the passenger's mobile phone and important documents. The passenger later expressed deep gratitude to the Railways and the ticket-checking staff for their honesty and prompt action.
In another similar incident, a female passenger travelling from Srinagar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra in Coach C/6 of Train No. 26404 (Srinagar-Katra) Vande Bharat Express accidentally left her bag inside the coach. She immediately informed Akib Ahmed, a member of the ticket-checking staff stationed on the train and headquartered in Srinagar. Treating the matter with utmost seriousness, the ticket-checking team initiated a search and soon located the bag.
