Early Times Report

Akhnoor, Mar 18: A tragic fire incident in Ward No. 6 of Pangyari Panchayat in Akhnoor has shaken an entire family to its core. Vijay Kumar’s mud house, which was the very foundation of his life, was reduced to ashes within moments as it was engulfed in fierce flames. In this devastating incident, one of his cows died a painful death, while a buffalo was severely injured.
The most heartbreaking moment came when his two young daughters returned home from school—only to find that the clothes they were wearing were all they had left. Their home, clothes, books, and dreams—everything had been destroyed in the fire. The pain, helplessness, and shattered dreams in their eyes were enough to move anyone deeply.
However, amidst this darkness, a ray of hope emerged in the form of the social organization “Umeed” (NGO), which once again proved that humanity is still alive. The organization immediately reached the spot and provided essential items such as beds, utensils, fans, and other necessities to the affected family, offering them some relief in this difficult time.
Dedicated young members of the organization—Ashish Gupta, Anmol Sharma, Manish Gupta, Jatin Manni, Anil Abrol, Anav Langar, Ayush Sharma, and Aditya Mahajan—actively participated in this noble effort. These youths not only stood firmly with the family during their toughest phase but also demonstrated that the younger generation understands its social responsibilities and is always ready to fulfill them. These are the same young individuals who have been consistently contributing to social service through “Umeed” and have become a strong support system for those in need. The “Umeed” organization has made an emotional appeal to all responsible citizens of society to come forward and help this affected family, so that Vijay Kumar can rebuild his home and his daughters can have a safe future and a fresh start.
This is not just a time to express sympathy, but a moment to help rebuild a family’s life.
Let us all come together to strengthen this “Umeed” and carry forward this inspiring example of humanity.
