BGSBU commemorates Shaheedi Diwas with Floral Tribute to Martyrs

JAMMU, Mar 23: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University solemnly observed Shaheedi Diwas to honor and remember the supreme sacrifices of the nation's martyrs. The program was organized with great reverence to pay floral tribute and express gratitude towards the brave souls who laid down their lives for the country.
Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof Jawaid Iqbal in his message paid rich tributes to the martyrs and stated that their unparalleled courage and sacrifice will continue to inspire generations. He emphasized that such occasions remind us of our responsibility to uphold the values of patriotism, unity, and national integrity.
Registrar, Abhishek Sharma (IAS), also paid heartfelt homage to the martyrs and highlighted that their supreme sacrifice is the foundation of the nation's strength. He urged the youth to follow the path of dedication, discipline, and selfless service towards the nation.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of Ms Insha Khalid, Tehsildar Rajouri, who joined the University fraternity in paying homage to the martyrs.
Floral tributes were offered by all dignitaries, faculty members, and students, marking a moment of collective respect and remembrance.
The proceedings of the program was smoothly conducted by Mr. Vishal Pahadi, Lecturer, who ensured the seamless flow of the program. Dr. Tanvir Ahmed, Head, Department of Sociology shared his thoughtful words on the significance of Shaheedi Diwas, highlighting the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by the martyrs and inspiring the younger generation to uphold the values of patriotism and service.
The program was attended by Dr Shams Kamal Anjum, Associate Dean, Dr Vishal Puri, Principal, College of Engineering and Technology, Er Rakesh Singh Sambyal, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, Dr Radha Gupta, Chief Warden, Heads of various Departments, along with faculty members, scholars, and students, reflecting the collective spirit of unity and respect within the university.
The event concluded with a renewed pledge to honor the legacy of the martyrs and to contribute positively towards the nation-building process.
