Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 23: Additional General Secretary National Conference and Former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today said maintaining the spirit of oneness and sustaining harmony is crucial for peaceful coexistence, especially in the present-day world marked by conflict and instability.
Interacting with devotees during a Vishal Sant Nirankari Satsang at Ghari in Jammu North Assembly Constituency, Sadhotra emphasized the need of strengthening bonds of brotherhood and mutual respect to build a stable and progressive society. He said the values of unity and compassion have become more relevant than ever in the current global scenario.
"In times when divisions and conflicts are increasing, it is imperative for society to uphold the spirit of oneness and work collectively for peace and harmony," he added. Sadhotra called upon people to inculcate the highest moral values and tread the path of righteousness to effectively meet contemporary challenges. He said adherence to ethical principles and spiritual teachings can guide individuals and society towards a more peaceful and balanced way of life.
"Strong moral foundations and righteous conduct are essential for overcoming difficulties and ensuring lasting peace. We must draw inspiration from spiritual teachings to create a more harmonious society," he said.
Highlighting the role of spiritual congregations, Sadhotra said such gatherings provide an opportunity for people to reflect on the core values of life and strengthen their commitment to humanity. Spiritual platforms like these help reinforce the message of love, unity and selfless service, which are vital for social cohesion, he added.
Sadhotra said that peace and harmony are prerequisites for progress and development. He stressed that collective efforts are needed to promote understanding and tolerance among different sections of society. Coexistence can only be ensured when people respect each other's beliefs and work together for the common good, he said, adding that harmony is the foundation of a prosperous and stable society. Sadhotra also urged the younger generation to imbibe moral and ethical values and contribute positively towards society. He said youth have a significant role in shaping the future and must be guided towards constructive and meaningful pursuits. "By following the path of truth and righteousness, our youth can become torchbearers of peace and unity," he said.
On the occasion, spiritual Mahatma HS Chawla from Ludhiana of the Nirankari Mission also addressed the congregation and highlighted the importance of spiritual awakening, humility and service to humanity.
He stressed that true peace can be achieved only through understanding, compassion and devotion to higher values. The Mahatma Ji emphasized the need to strengthen social harmony and work towards building a peaceful and inclusive society.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mahatma Ajit Singh, Ch Subash Chander, Ved Prakash Sharma, Sandeep Singh Manhas, Gourav Singh Jamwal, Dr Ramesh Chander, Veer Bhat and others.
