Highliting rising global tensions and an ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran, concerns over a potential energy crisis are being felt worldwide, including in India. Gupta highlighted the need for responsible energy consumption and praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that while several countries are struggling to secure adequate supplies of petrol, diesel and gas, India has managed to maintain stability without major disruptions. He credited the Prime Minister for ensuring that citizens are not burdened with increased fuel prices during these challenging times. However, he emphasized that citizens also have a responsibility towards the nation. With an energy crisis looming globally, people should adopt measures to minimize the use of petrol, diesel and cooking gas, using them only when necessary. Recalling earlier times in Jammu, the President mentioned the tradition of community kitchens, where residents of a locality would gather at a common tandoor to cook meals. He suggested reviving such practices, as they could significantly reduce fuel consumption by consolidating cooking activities in one place. He concluded by urging people to adopt collective and conscious efforts to conserve energy resources, stating that such steps would not only help manage the current crisis but also contribute to the nation’s long-term sustainability. |
