Early Times Report LEH, Mar 27: The Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, arrived in Leh today on an official visit to the Union Territory of Ladakh. Upon his arrival, His Lordship was accorded a warm reception by the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, and the Hon'ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Mr. Justice Arun Palli, along with other Hon'ble Judges of the High Court. The reception was also attended by senior dignitaries, including the Chief Secretary of Ladakh, the Director General of Police, Ladakh, General Officer Commanding 14 Corps, Registrar General, and senior officers from the civil administration, judiciary, Army, and police. The Chief Justice of India was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour, followed by a traditional welcome showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Ladakh. Thereafter, His Lordship interacted with the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor, Hon'ble Judges, and senior district officials of Leh. |
