| Hooliganism will not be tolerated, police must act strictly: CM | | | Early Times Report
Gorakhpur, Mar 27: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his stay in Gorakhpur, met people from various districts and listened to their grievances for the second consecutive day on Friday morning at the Janata Darshan held at Gorakhnath Temple. During the session, taking serious note of complaints from weaker sections about being intimidated and threatened by certain influential individuals, Chief Minister clearly instructed police officials, saying, “Hooliganism will not be tolerated. Strict and immediate action must be taken against such elements. If any accused, after being released on bail, threatens the complainant, steps must be taken to get their bail cancelled.” At the Janata Darshan organized outside Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan at Gorakhnath Temple, CM Yogi Adityanath heard the grievances of around 200 people. He forwarded all applications to the concerned officials with directions for prompt and satisfactory resolution, stating that resolving every individual’s problem is the government’s commitment. He instructed officials to ensure justice for all without discrimination. Eligible beneficiaries must receive the benefits of welfare schemes, proper medical treatment should be arranged for the needy, and strict action must be taken against land mafias and strongmen involved in illegal encroachment. Along with issuing these directions, CM Yogi assured people that the government is fully committed to addressing every victim’s concerns. During the Janata Darshan, people seeking financial assistance for treatment of serious illnesses were assured by Chief Minister that no one’s treatment would be halted due to lack of funds. He said that once a treatment estimate is received from the hospital, the government will provide the necessary financial support. |
