ANANTNAG, Mar 28: The District Anantnag Taekwondo Championships 2025-26 concluded successfully at Indoor Sports Hall, Bijbehara, Anantnag, held from 27th to 28th March 2026 under the My Youth My Pride initiative. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 70 players from various schools and clubs across District Anantnag.
The event was organized by the Taekwondo Association of District Anantnag under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association and the J&K Sports Council. The competition was conducted in a professional manner, highlighting the skills, discipline, and sportsmanship of the young athletes.
Mohd Shafi, Manager Indoor Sports Hall, Bijbehara, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Miss Nighat (PET, Oxford School) was present as the Guest of Honour and appreciated the efforts of the organizers and participants.
The technical team was led by Shah Faisal Ali, along with Farhan Reyaz, Faisal Qadir, Sahil Ahmed Dar, Tehzeeb Ali, and Taib Ahmed, who ensured the smooth and fair conduct of the championship.
Shri Ramesh Chander Sharma, General Secretary of J&K Taekwondo Association, congratulated the organizing committee for successfully conducting the championship in a professional and transparent manner. He also extended his gratitude to Mrs. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council, for her continuous support and encouragement towards the development of Taekwondo in the Union Territory.
