Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 30: GGM Science College, Jammu, marked a significant milestone in advancing technical education with the successful inauguration of the e-Yantra Lab under the prestigious initiative of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. The inaugural ceremony was graced online by Prof. Kavi Arya, Founder of the e-Yantra Project, who delivered an insightful address highlighting the core objectives of the initiative. He elaborated on the growing importance of robotics and embedded systems in modern education and emphasized how the e-Yantra program promotes project-based learning, innovation, and hands-on skill development among students. He also shared effective strategies for successful implementation of the program at the institutional level. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives colleges across the nation, making it a collaborative and enriching academic gathering. Faculty members and students actively engaged in discussions, interactive sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities, reflecting the spirit of academic cooperation and technological advancement. Earlier Prof. Mona Sethi (Convener) and Prof. Rajesh Bhardwaj (Co-convener) presented an overview of the ongoing scenario and current status of the e-Yantra program at GGM Science College. They highlighted the progress achieved so far, including student participation, infrastructure development, and future plans aimed at expanding the scope of robotics education within the institution. Further strengthening the technical understanding of participants, Prof. Vippan Kumar and Prof. Ameeq Rehman Chowdhary conducted detailed sessions on the technical aspects of the e-Yantra Lab. In his address, Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta expressed sincere gratitude to IIT Bombay for extending this opportunity and for its continued academic support.
